From Negative Experiences to Awareness
Before joining Unger Academy, Giovanni’s only experiences with systematic trading involved closed systems offered by certain brokers, essentially a form of copy trading, which unfortunately resulted in significant financial losses. In addition, he started out with fairly limited technical and IT knowledge.
The training path allowed him not only to fill these gaps, but above all to gain control, awareness, and independence – elements he now considers essential.
Giovanni’s Advice for Those New to Systematic Trading
Based on his experience, Giovanni advises anyone approaching systematic trading for the first time to:

- Apply systems exactly as designed, avoiding manual intervention
- Be diligent, disciplined, and consistent, especially during more challenging phases
While he has chosen a more aggressive risk profile for himself, Giovanni emphasizes that this is the result of a conscious decision based on many years of experience, and not necessarily something suitable for those just starting out.
