Alex is 50 years old, a software engineer, and has known Unger Academy for about a year and a half. His trading journey began with AlgoTrader Fast on futures, a demanding but highly educational experience that allowed him to build solid operational foundations.

After about 12 months trading futures, Alex decided to also add options trading by choosing the OPT Formula path. Here, he found a simpler and faster approach, supported by very solid data and backtesting, and particularly suitable for those seeking long-term sustainability.

Today, he has been trading live for a few months and approaches the market with patience and clarity, without rushing to judge short-term results. In the video, he explains why he recommends options as a starting point and the value of coaching support.

Hi everyone, I’m Alex, I’m fifty years old, I’m a software engineer.

I’ve known Unger Academy for about a year and a half.

I started with Algotrader Fast around September twenty twenty-three, so a little over a year ago, focusing on futures.

It’s been a challenging journey, undoubtedly demanding and very interesting.

After that, once I felt solid with futures, so after about twelve months, I bought the OPT Formula course and completed Formula Easy and Formula Master.

The course is drastically faster and simpler compared to the one on futures.

The data and backtesting also show it is more profitable, so there are big advantages to trading options.

As Andrea Unger says, it’s also more boring.

Of course, if you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, options are much less exciting than futures.

Regardless, I consider it a very worthwhile path.

Personally, I’d recommend doing both, but starting with options, because it’s definitely a simpler and faster path compared to futures, which are more demanding to tackle.

The course is definitely well-made.

You then need to get the hang of it and do some live trading to pick up nuances that might not be described in the course, so coaching is definitely essential.

Even if the methodology is much simpler, the coaching was still fundamental from my point of view.

I’ve been live for a couple of months.

So far it hasn’t gone particularly well, there’s been a lot of sideways movement and the structures have suffered, also because besides the sideways trend there’s very low volatility.

For now the results aren’t striking.

But I’m in no hurry at all.

You shouldn’t rush, it would be a mental mistake to give a negative judgment.

I have no intention of making that mistake and I believe instead that it’s a path that can truly give remarkable results, both for its simplicity and for the returns.

So I definitely recommend it to everyone.

Happy trading!
