Stefano, an engineer with a strong background, began his trading journey with the Unger Academy® in late 2021. Despite having no prior experience in trading, Stefano’s rational approach and curiosity allowed him to quickly grasp the Unger Method™ and establish a solid trading foundation.
During his first nine months, Stefano dedicated himself to intensive study of the program, followed by three months of paper trading. Today, his portfolio consists of approximately 200 trading systems across major futures markets. Half of these systems are his own creations, while the other half are sourced from the Unger Academy’s comprehensive resources, including the Million Dollar Database and the Unger Personal Database.
Stefano relies on Titan™, our proprietary software for automated portfolio management, using a daily risk of 2% and monthly rebalancing to prepare the portfolio of systems he uses in the following month.
Currently, Stefano operates with about 30 trading systems selected through Titan from a pool of 200 systems. He trades major futures contracts (full-size) and avoids micro contracts.
His engineering mindset has been instrumental in mastering the systematic approach and programming in EasyLanguage, which he quickly learned.
Stefano is very satisfied with the results he has achieved so far using the Unger Method™, especially considering that this is his first trading experience. Before joining Unger Academy®, Stefano had never traded.
He appreciates the systematic approach, as it is the only method compatible with his demanding job, which occupies an average of nine hours per day.
In addition to Titan™, Stefano also uses the Strategy Checker™, which sends push notifications via Telegram. This allows him to monitor his trading station without needing to be physically connected to it.
For those venturing into live trading, Stefano shares these valuable tips:
•Dedicate time and passion to learning: Fully understanding the concepts and confidently mastering every aspect of trading are essential.
•Don’t rush into live trading: If you haven’t thoroughly grasped the concepts in your training, start with paper trading to familiarize yourself with operational dynamics. While the emotional experience of paper trading differs from live trading, it is an invaluable way to learn to manage technical challenges that may arise.
Stefano is a shining example of how a well-structured path, combined with dedication and passion, can turn anyone into a successful trader. His extraordinary achievement of being named December 2024 Trader of the Month, with a 12.64% return in just one month, equivalent to a gain of €22,577 and a very low 2.3% drawdown, is not just about numbers.
